Chp. 21 verse 1: Introduction, the laws concerning the priests, the sons of Aaron and their obligation to not defile themselves with contact with a dead body. Also an admonishment to adults regarding minors.

Chp. 22 verse 11 - Chp. 23 verse - 8: Continues with holy foods and when and who could eat them. Next discusses the blemishes that would invalidate an animal from being brought as a sacrifice. Also the prohibition of spading an animal. An animal must be at least eight days old to be brought as an offering. The laws that applied to a Toda sacrifice. Chp. 23 Begins with the command to work six days and to keep the seventh as the holy Sabbath. Continues with the holidays beginning with Pesach and its laws.

Priestly laws: The seven people that a regular priest must defile himself for when they die, by personally being involved in their funeral, burial, and mourning. Not to mourn by making cuts in his head, beard , or body. He cannot marry a harlot, a woman who is profaned, or divorced. He has an obligation to sanctify himself. The daughter of a priest who has profaned herself through harlotry while either betrothed or married, is punished by fire.

Chp. 22 verses 17 - 28: a description of blemishes that make an animal that is kosher invalid for being brought as a sacrifice on the alter. The prohibition of castrating any animal. The prohibition of bringing a mother and its young as a sacrifice on the same day. No animal can be brought up as a sacrifice unless it is at least 8 days old.
