Chp. 8 verses 2 - 9: Continues with how Aaron lit the Menorah. Torah tells us that the Menorah was beaten out of one block of gold. God then instructs Moshe to induct the Levites into the service of the Mishkan and the priest. He instructs that they must be purified before they could begin their service.

Chp. 10 verses 1 - 34: Moshe was commanded by God to make for himself 2 trumpets. They were used to assemble the people and the princes. Also to alert the tribes as to when they should begin their travels in the desert. The portion then describes how they traveled and the name of all the princes of the tribes.

Chp. 10 verses 35 & 36, Chp, 11 verses 1 -4: The two verses that begin and end with an inverted NUN. Chp. 11, begins with the complainers that were burnt, and continues with the people complaining and demanding meat.

Chp. 11 verses 5 - 15: The people complain to Moshe that they want meat. This demand angered God and was evil in Moshe's eyes. Moshe becomes so frustrated with the nation and his position that he asks God To Kill Him.

chp. 11 verses 16 - 26: Moshe is told by God to gather 70 elders to help him to lead the people. The people are told that they would have meat for a full month and that it would become loathsome to them. Eldad and Medad though they do not appear at the tent of meeting since they feel themselves unworthy to be chosen as an elder, are chosen by God directly.

Chp. 11 verses 27 - 35 Chp. 12 verses 1 - 3: Eldad and Medad were prophesying in the camp that Moshe would die and Yehoshua would lead the people into the land. Yehoshua asked Moshe to stop tthem but he said he wished that all the people would have the gift of Prophesy. The quail fell and killed many of the people. they called the place Kibroth Ha'Taavah, the burial place of those who lusted. Chp. 12 Miriam speaks Loshan Harah about Moshe.

Chp. 12 verses 3 - 16: Continues with the story of Miriam who spoke Loshon Harah about Moshe. She is punished by God with leprosy and Moshe prays for her and she is healed and she is quarantined outside the camp for 7 days. The Nation does not travel and the people wait for her until she is cured
